My mom encouraged me to start cooking when I was really young — it all started with s’mores. When Scout came home and I was unhappy with the quality of dog treats on the market, I had to redirect my passion from human to puppy treats. Combining my passion for smoking meats with a science background yielded an all-natural meat & produce dog treat that is healthy and really, really tasty. There’s no chemical- nor salt-based preservatives in these treats, and we don’t add grains, sugars, or carbs. Our air-dried cooking process ensures our dogs get the natural taste of our high-quality ingredients without losing the nutritional value that happens in normal commercial baking processes.
We all like to spoil our pups, and that’s why our little website is here — these are my guilt-free, multiple-times-a-day treats for Scout. I hope your puppy enjoys them, too.

Learning how things work and making things from scratch has always been something I’ve enjoyed. No one would have guessed that it would have gone from model rockets to structured finance to real estate to dog treats… but that’s what makes life fun. This all started with wanting to share some healthy dog treats with friends, and thank you, everyone, for your support of Scout’s Snaxx!
Scout, Chief Tasting Officer
Scout is a German shorthaired pointer and was born in the summer of 2020. In addition to being the most affectionate dog you’ve ever met, she loves going to the off-leash dog parks and dispersed camping spots in Colorado! When she’s not sniffing around looking for critters, she loves to play catch with a tennis ball, go on walks around her block, and cuddle with her dad.
